I'd like to point out that part of tanking active/passive is also the ability to move. T2 ships can have battle like tanks but move at 600+ m/s speeds and mitigate a lot of damage coming in from bigger ships due to speed.

Also PvP or PvE application? That changes a lot of how ships are setup.

Another issue with Active ships is do you want cap stable? You simply do not need a cap stable tank as it takes away from your damage dealing abilites. Killing stuff faster means less tank needed.

If the ship is moving fast and can keep the turns nice and tight should I wish feel free to post it up even if something else has a little better tank.
Looking for both pvp and pve,primarily looking for pve. For my PVE ships I do prefer them to be cap stable but I am open to seeing other options. Consider your in a c4, c5 or c6 static WH you have got to be cap stable and you can't depend on drones for dps at all most of the dps has to come from you. Some missions and when you get up into level 5s you can run into just about anything so might be webed, not be able to warp out, nuet on me....I wana make it out with my ship intact.
There is the pvp side to it, I am interested in max dps there and in those instances cap stability isn't a bit deal, poping that orca or w/e that just came into low sec just has to pop. Thing is I don't pvp that often so this isn't the biggest of my concerns but if you have something sweet I am all ears.
I tend to consider worst case scenario when I build my ships. DPS some nice EHP and a big tank can make things happen and speed or a small sig never hurt anything.
If you have something good I am most certainly open to options.
